IT Helpdesk Engineer / Systems Engineer

Due to continued growth we now have a position for a full time helpdesk engineer and or a Systems Engineer. You will require some or most of the following skills or working towards them to apply for the Systems Engineer role;

Windows desktop
Exchange Server
Active Directory

Optional skills that would be an advantage include;

VMware
SAN Technology
Apple
Firewall hardware such as Sonicwall & WatchGaurd

You may be working towards or already have industry certifications from either Microsoft, VMware or both.

We are a leading IT Solutions Provider / IT Services Firm based in Yorkshire. We are well known and renowned within the industry. We are currently seeking a junior engineer wanting a sound base on which to learn and grow within the role and/or experienced IT Engineer to join the existing team.

The Helpdesk roll will involve fronting initial inbound calls from customers, updating or creating tickets as well as providing fixes within our SLA should your ability allow or liaising with the team of senior engineers to do so. Your roll and responsibilities will grow over time as you develop and learn within the tight knit engineering team and the continued growth of the company.

The System’s Engineers role will involve remaining very hands on. You will be directly dealing the clients understanding issues / problems and resolving yourself or with another engineer. Your duties may also include providing Pre and Post sales technical advice to customers, as well as any supporting documentation required by the company. You will be involved with projects from initial inception including design, developing and producing full live IT Systems.

To qualify for this position you will be an experienced Systems Engineer / IT professional with some client experience. You will have good experience in, Exchange, 2003-2008 Servers and Active Directory including SBS. It is also essential to have exposure to VMWare or SAN’s. Any exposure to Security products firewalls (Sonicwall, WatchGuard), anti virus products (Symantec, Kaspersky) would be advantageous towards your application.

IT Sales Executives

Splitsec are looking for experienced account managers that are self-motivated with a passion for success, to join their already successful team.

The candidates will be driven by results, focused on building relationships and work on their own initiative as well as being commercially aware. You will have excellent negotiating skills, be an excellent communicator with a solid sales background of at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, achieving at least £6k GP per month. The product set that we are looking for the ideal candidates to sell are IT related products which include consumables, hardware and software into the end user market including education, corporate and SMB market.

This role will be mainly office based but we actively encourage our team to meet their customers to build relationships on a regular basis as we believe that people buy from people.
